A LEGACY FORGED IN JAPAN
One year after our Le Mans victory, where the F1 GTR dominated, McLaren sought another challenge. One that could take F1 GTR to new heights and new places: the 1996 All-Japan Grand Touring Championship (JGTC).
Adorned in a distinctive tiger stripe livery, the number 61 F1 GTR – driven by John Nielsen and David Brabham – took the overall Championship, and in doing so, McLaren became the only non-Japanese manufacturer to win in GT500, the JGTC's top class. A record that stands to this day.
To celebrate a pivotal moment for McLaren in Japan and this historic win, we’re introducing 750S JC96, available only in Japan.
The McLaren 750S JC96 is exclusive to the Japanese market and pays tribute to the ‘96 F1 GTRs that dominated the JGTC.
Each one of the 61 cars features distinctive, hand-painted details inspired by the iconic tiger stripe livery which adorned the 1996 JGTC challengers. Likewise, the interiors were tailored especially by McLaren designers to instill the spirit of the F1 GTR, with full Alcantara® environments and gold finish switches and pedals.
Also debuting on the 750S JC96 is the ultra-lightweight ‘Delta’ 15-spoke forged alloy wheel, influenced by those of later-spec F1 GTRs. This car is born from circuit dominance, translated to the modern expression of presence and performance on road and track.
Openness, intensified
750S JC96 features the second deployment of the MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK). Available in both Coupe and Spider variants, 750S JC96 introduces MSO HDK to a McLaren Spider for the very first time.
The kit features a suite of components – including a revised front bumper and splitter, louvered under-wing panel and raised active rear spoiler – that boosts aerodynamic performance, achieving a 10% increase in downforce. This results in higher stability and cornering speeds, for thrilling track-day driving.

A revised front bumper makes way for an enlarged dual-element splitter. Carbon fiber in construction, the splitter contributes to the 10% increase in downforce and balances the effect of the Raised Active Rear Spoiler
750S JC96 is available as a Coupe or a Spider, marking the first application of the 750S MSO HDK (High Downforce Kit) on an open-top variant of McLaren 750S
All new for 750S the Delta 15-Spoke Ultra-Lightweight Wheel is inspired by the race wheels of later-spec F1 GTRs, specifically the legendary 'Longtail' variants of the iconic racer, available in four different finishes
750S JC96 is available with our full selection of exterior paint colors available for 750S, including our McLaren Special Operations (MSO) palette. A full-vehicle 'JC96 Tribute Livery', hand painted by MSO, pays close tribute to the 1996 JGTC champions
Raised on pylons above the rear deck, the HDK's dramatic Gloss Black Raised Active Rear Spoiler is single-piece carbon fiber and has three operational positions: Driver Downforce, DRS and High Speed Braking
Alongside the painted livery elements, the mirror casings and dual-element splitter feature painted JC96 logos, in matching color to the details. An optional painted logo is available for the Raised Active Rear Spoiler surface
The Body Color Carbon Fiber Louvered Under-wing Panel sits below the Raised Active Rear Spoiler and features a central opening above the exhaust and louvers further outboard to enhance powertrain cooling
All JC96 cars will feature elements of the tiger stripe livery. Hand painted on the Front Splitter, Mirror Casing and Raised Active Rear Spoiler Endplates. Available in four colors selected to pair with our full color palette
A choice of three, JC96 branded, full Alcantara®, interior themes are available. Each inspired by F1 GTR. With accents available in Carbon Black, Dove Grey or Bright Red
A unique gold finish pedal set, inspired by the F1 GTR pedal design. Featuring machined JC96 logo on the accelerator pedal
Taking inspiration from F1 GTR's gold finish gear shifter, the drive select (DNR) switches feature brightwork in a subtle finish, unique for 750S JC96

Visual carbon fiber options reveal the construction of the splitter, diffuser, and active rear spoiler.
Meanwhile the ultra-exclusive JC96 Tribute Livery, a hand-painted, full-vehicle livery, was designed to reflect the original F1 GTRs that raced in the 1996 JGTC season. Only a limited number will be commissioned, each delivered by MSO.
