VIRTUAL BECOMES REALITY

McLAREN SOLUS GT

OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

The McLaren Solus GT started life as a radical concept car designed for virtual racing. A special commission for just 25 customers, it provides the closest possible experience to driving a Formula 1™ car.

The design of the McLaren Solus GT remains faithful to its online inspiration. A dramatic sliding glass canopy – like that of a jet aircraft – serves as the only access point to the interior's custom-fitted single seat. The wheels are shrouded by aerodynamic pods, and the striking bodywork has been honed by exhaustive aerodynamic testing.

NO LIMITATIONS

NO LIMITATIONS

The McLaren Solus GT does not adhere to road or racing regulations. Because of its origins, our engineers had free reign to develop the ultimate hypercar. Extreme in every sense.

The unique monocoque houses a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that revs beyond 10,000rpm and generates more than 840 PS (829 bhp). It forms the heart of a ruthlessly pared down machine that weighs less than 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs) and accelerates from 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) in just 2.5 seconds. A car designed for pure, sensory overload.
