TIME. TRANSFORMED.
High performance. Daring style. Proprietary advanced technologies. These are the hallmarks of Richard Mille timepieces – sophisticated, handcrafted horological complications defined by perfection and luxury. It is a level of obsession that makes Richard Mille a perfect partner for McLaren – with each brand sharing a philosophy that pursues innovation in design and precision in engineering. Our long-term partnership remains alive with the same passion and dedication that shaped the first McLaren x Richard Mille collaboration – as we continue to push the boundaries of exceptional customer experiences together.
DRIVEN BY PASSION: THE LATEST RICHARD MILLE TIMEPIECE
Inspired by greatness. An expression of pure performance. Following the reveal of the McLaren W1, Richard Mille has unveiled the incredible RM-65-01 McLaren W1 – the fourth creation to emerge from its partnership with McLaren.
Reflecting its ground-breaking supercar inspiration, the RM 65-01 McLaren W1 pushes every boundary, driven by passion and human connection.
UNMATCHED SPEED
Beating at a high speed of 5Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour, the automatic movement of the RM 65-01 McLaren W1 enables the split-seconds chronograph calibre to record elapsed times down to just one-tenth of a second.
A WATCH LIKE NO OTHER
Inspired by the supercar’s sweeping lines that cocoon its engine and occupants, the Carbon TPT© case wraps around the watch’s movement. Its striking ‘double’ bezel posed one of the greatest technical challenges in the creation of the watch, taking nine months to perfect.
A TRUE DRIVER’S TIMEPIECE
The RM65-01 McLaren W1’s celebrated crown is based on the splines of the W1’s drive shafts. Wheel rim details inspired the shape of the chronograph push pieces and rapid winding button. While the aerodynamic angles of the foils and ducts found on the W1’s engine cover and ground-effect spoilers are echoed in patterns on the papaya orange rubber strap.
This is a timepiece that’s perfectly in tune with the McLaren W1 supercar. Reflecting a partnership committed to epic power delivery and incredible performance.
From the entirely new movement architecture. To the meticulous, complex asymmetrical case. And every last component, inside and out. The Richard Mille RM 40-01 Speedtail Automatic Tourbillon beautifully mirrors the many boldly innovative elements of the McLaren Speedtail. With an unprecedented level of detail, this timepiece marks Richard Mille’s highest ever level of finish. Paired with uncompromising mechanical sophistication, it is an appropriately extraordinary companion to the Speedtail.
The case alone is made from 69 individual parts – incorporating titanium and Carbon TPT©. Its development took Richard Mille's casing department 2,800 hours and 18 months to perfect. While the internal mechanism is a love letter to meticulous detail – with key components manufactured from grade 5 titanium, and protected by a unique upper crystal with triple contour. Every line of the watch mimics the Speedtail’s form, with indentations and pushers that evoke the openings and outlets of the hypercar – in stunningly true detail.
A result of the close working partnership between each brand, the RM 40-01 Speedtail stands as a fittingly breath-taking tribute to one of our most incredible cars yet.
The RM 11-03 McLaren, created in close collaboration between the McLaren Design Team and Richard Mille Engineer Fabrice Namura, unites our mutual interest in beautiful design, innovative materials and modern craftsmanship.
The timepiece features a carbon thin-ply technology (TPT©) case, interlaced with Orange Quartz TPT© to create a lightweight finish that's resistant even to the harshest environments. While its unmatched mechanical performance and uncompromising design echo the elite craftsmanship on which the McLaren Ultimate Series is founded. Indicative of the symbiotic relationship between our brands, Richard Mille's pioneering carbon TPT© was subsequently integrated into McLaren cars – as part of the stunning Speedtail.
Recalling the distinctive headlights of the McLaren 720S, the titanium pushers are just one example of the understated detail that is woven throughout the RM 11-03. From the wheel-inspired titanium crown, to the inserts that mirror the iconic McLaren F1's air intake snorkel. And then there's the mechanism. Featuring the automatic RMAC3 calibre mechanism, with a flyback chronograph and 55-hour power reserve, the RM 11-03 stands a true masterpiece of horological engineering.
