THE DRIVING ENVIRONMENT: REDEFINED

The second-generation Super Series will feature a cockpit driven by technology.

Sometimes less really is more. Take away the complexity and overwhelming information of modern life and you’re left with something far purer – the drive.

Our new supercar will give its drivers the option to remove all unnecessary distractions when all they really want to do is drive. At the touch of a button, its revolutionary Folding Driver Display changes from a full high-definition TFT screen and slides neatly into the dash. It leaves the driver with a slim display showing the essentials with zero distractions, just an unparalleled view of the road ahead.

This functionality can be selected by the driver, or deployed automatically when selecting Sport or Track Mode on the Active Dynamics switches in the centre console.

“The Folding Driver Display is revolutionary in offering both a choice of information shown and physical position, seamlessly complementing driver preferences while at the same time furnishing a glorious piece of engineering theatre” explains Mark Vinnels, Executive Director for Product Development.

This remarkable innovation is complemented by an additional 8-inch Central touchscreen that is linked to an all-new infotainment system called McLaren Driver Interface, which offers control of audio, media, navigation and an all-new McLaren Track Telemetry App, and is now capable of running multiple applications simultaneously on its vertical display.

The full reveal of our new supercar is almost here, with the world debut and full performance and technical details set for Tuesday March 7 at 14:15 CET (13:15 in the U.K.) on The McLaren Stand at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show.
